Here are some comments from readers to better understand this good audiobooks:
01- The story revolves around the daughter of a professor and scholar of medieval literature, Rosalind Hawkins is uncertain about her future when her father dies suddenly. She knew that the creditor intended to take everything he ever owned. The offer to become a tutor for two children living in a detached house north of San Francisco came true. She knew that kids didn’t exist, the new owner read it to him through the loudspeaker, she certainly wouldn’t think anything of it.
Her new owner’s personal secretary, the owner of this place is depraved, the horse was given to their owner. She thought about all the esoteric books she expected to read?
This is an interesting story, the lady’s description of myopia makes me shake my head in disgust. As someone who has endured myopia for the rest of our lives, we are not all helpless if we have our glasses. Lackey used the Beauty and the Beast script in her Five Hundred Kingdoms series with a fusion of human and beast alike.
02- Rosalind Hawkins enjoys a privileged life in Chicago as the daughter of a well-respected, well-to-do scholar with luxury. Before her death, her father gambled away the family fortune, leaving Rosalind penniless and unable to pursue her graduate work in medieval studies. Her future is a terrifying void. Jason Cameron, a wealthy railroad baron in San Francisco, is looking for a knowledgeable tutor to tutor his child. Cameron’s immaculate home appears to employ only one servant – the wily Paul du Mond – and has no children. Surrounded by wealth and paranoid dreams, Rosalind was asked to agree to read ancient and cryptic texts to Cameron every evening through a mouthpiece. Though she never laid eyes on her master, Rosalind grew to embrace her purpose and opportunities in her new life. But Jason’s enemies will do whatever it takes to prevent him from finding a cure, and when allied with the mysterious Fire Mage, Rosalind finds herself facing dangers that threaten to take away the life she loves and the future she hopes for.
03- This is my favorite fantasy novel, magical and romantic, a little dangerous but not overwhelming. As the wolf attacks the bad guys and both Jason and Rose have to face the reality of their plight. Narrator Kate Black-Regan is dynamic, in need of more variation in her tone.
04- This is a fascinating book, set in the United States of 1906. The book covers the time period of the San Francisco Earthquake, offering alternative explanations for some of the disasters of that terrifying period. The story features Firefighters, Aviation Masters, Earthworkers, salamanders, dolphins, and lots of other fascinating creatures. The content is about a young woman who is hired as a tutor for the 2 children of an invalid. He was a Fire Master who played with fire once too often and suffered severe burns.
05- Fantastic book series that reimagines classic fairy tales into something a little different. The story is set in a lovely world with the existence of magicians hidden in society. The nature of ‘magic’ and personal relationships with it seems to change for no apparent reason, as well-written books tend to build tension slowly and like sentences. the fairy tale they came from.
