This book was so good 20 years ago when I first read it and even better in the audio version. Sandra Burr did a great job with the characters where I felt that they were individuals instead of a reader. Nora Roberts is my favorite author and I really love all of her books that I have read so far.

I really like this story. The cast of characters is easy to distinguish due to the narrator’s tone of voice. The plot is solid and has some great twists and turns, although who-did-it is very predictable. The sex scenes are hot enough for those who like them, but not so rich as to be offensive to those who don’t. Relationships feel more than two-way, but not quite three-way. Not Nora’s best work, but one of hers. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good mix of romance and horror.
